What is DEX?

Contents

Data Exchange (DEX) is a system used to manage and share information with the Australian Government Department of Social Services (DSS). The DEX system is used by government departments, agencies and community organisations.

When an organisation is awarded a grant from the Department of Social Services via the Community Grants Hub, they are required to report service delivery information to the department. The specifics of the information requirements can change from program to program, however the XML reporting format is generally the same.

Details of the DEX reporting regime are formally documented and made available on the DEX website.

Fixus Support

The Fixus platform has broad-based support for programs required to report against the DEX reporting regime. The support includes general data collection, SCORE assessments, brokerage, workflows, minimum data set validation and reporting.

It supports the bulk XML upload method of providing data to the DEX portal.
